How should our diets change as we age? This is an excellent questions and one that every one over the age of 40 should be asking themselves.
As our bodies age our nutritional needs change. When we get older our needed level of calories decreases, but our needed level of nutrients such as proteins and vitamins stays the same.
This results in needing a much more "nutrient dense" diet than we did when we were younger. Check out this video from the NIA for more information on how to maintain a nutrient dense diet:
